Pet Portraits Contest is Officially Under Way!

As of this very minute our Pet Portraits Contest is under way here at Portraits Today Studios. Let’s quickly review the rules that we mentioned in our Dog Days of Summer Pet Photo Contest posting.

HOW TO WIN BIG
It’s simple, really. Bring in your pet whatever and get a photo or two or a dozen made. It’s up to you how many. Pet portrait sheets are a maximum price of $9.95 per sheet during this contest…and can go down from there. We’ll post your favorite pet photo on our Portraits Today Studios facebook page and then you go in and “like” it. Get your friends to “like” it or comment on it. On August 2nd, we’ll count up the “likes” and comments and there will be winners.

QuikTrip gas card winners. Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich winners. PTS gift certificates winners. And maybe even a Napoli’s gift certificate winner. Big prizes!

Dog Days of Summer Pet Photo Contest

July is going to be our First Annual Dog Days of Summer Pet Photo Contest! We’re excited.

THE POINT
To have fun with pet photography! Bring in your pet cats, dogs, turtles, birds, rabbits, mosquitos (no, never mind, we hate mosquitos!) or whatever and we’ll offer you special pricing on our portrait sheets AND we’ll waive our normal pet sitting fee.

SPECIAL PRICING
All portrait sheets purchased that have your pet included in them will only be $9.95 each. That’s it. If you buy more than 6 sheets (our Bronze Star at $69.95) that will save you about $10. If you get our Silver Star package (regularly priced at $89) we’ll give you 15% off. If you go for the Gold Star we’ll just make it a flat $99.00. That’s a savings of $26.00! And you get all else that’s included. Wow!

But again, you could just get one or two sheets at $9.95. This supposed to be for fun.

Our normal pet sitting fee of $10 for the first critter and $7 for each additional is going to be waived for all of July.

THE CONTEST
Here is where it’s gonna get crazy. If you ask us, we’ll post your favorite pet photo on our Portraits Today Studios facebook page. You then vote for your own photo, get all of your family and friends to vote, and then we decide the winners on or about August 2nd. Winners will be decided by most votes. There will be prizes for First, Second, Third and Runner Up.

Stay tuned for the prize list. But expect some goodies…like a $50.00 Gas Card to QuikTrip. Anybody want any free chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A of Olathe? And we’ll come up with some more…we promise.

Also, this Saturday, July 2, we will be working with Angel Babies to bring you free hot dogs and sodas for anyone that wants to stop by between 11:30 and 2:00 pm Angel Babies and us will be offering some sort of huge savings for the 4th of July weekend. Again, stay tuned…. But plan on coming by for free food!

Olathe Photographer Makes Portraits of Beautiful Baby Olivia

As an Olathe photographer I have the great privilege of making portraits of beautiful children from all over Olathe, Overland Park, Gardner and the other surrounding areas. This young lady came in over the weekend with her “puppy” and we made some fun and beautiful portraits of her. Photographers often get to smile in their work. This was definitely a portrait session that made me smile.

Portraits Today Studios is located in Olathe, Kansas on the SW corner of Murlen & Santa Fe. We’re in the Crossroads Shopping Center with Price Chopper and Taco Via. We’re not that hard to find but we are tucked back in the “Cove” area. We utilize professional photographers from Olathe and Overland Park and we offer same-day pictures at affordable prices. We do not have sitting fees, unless like this family, you have pets involved. Then there is a small fee for all the vacuuming we have to do once Cujo leaves. :)

Olathe Portrait Studio Has More Live Bunny Pictures!

Whew! We made it through Spring Break here in Olathe taking a bazillion photographs of kids playing with a live bunny and live chicks. A few of the kids weren’t crazy about it. And of course we made a few portraits of children with out the live animals. Everyone here at this Kansas City photo studio had a great time.

There are just so many pictures I’d like to post but I need to get home at some point. I’ll probably share more sometime in the upcoming week. It’s a dog’s life. Or it seems that way here at Portraits Today Studios. In the past thirty days we’ve done quite a bit of pet photography. And why not? People love their pets.

Below you will find some of the portraits we’ve been doing for pets recently. You will notice we’ve had a great many dogs. But where are the cats? People, we need some of you to bring in your cats, snakes, llamas and what not. (Okay, maybe we haven’t actually done a lot of llama photography. But we can dream, can’t we?

Call us today at 913.568.1579 to schedule a time bring in your favorite pet. Or, if you are an equestrian lover and want us to come to you inquire about our location fees. They are very reasonable. And bringing your pet in for some quality professional photography is only a $10 sitting fee for the animals. (Hey, we have to spend time cleaning up hairs, slobber and all sorts of things. Ek.)
