1.  Make an appointment.  Arrive on time.
This may sound rudimentary but it helps everyone to be in a great frame of mind for family pictures.  We nearly always start on time for our portrait sessions.  It’s a core belief here at PTS that photo sessions start on time.   That keeps the kids happy.  And when the kids are happy, mom is happy. 

2.  Haircuts more than 24 hours in advance.
A bad hair cut doesn’t last forever.  Unless, of course, you get one and head straight to the portrait studio.  Our recommendation is a day or two in advance so corrections can be made, skin can get un-irritated, and you can get used to your new look.

3.  Solids.  Not prints.
When you have quite a few people in a picture you need the fewest amount of distractions possible to keep the focus on the faces.  And while we are at it, see everyone’s shirts ahead of time.  Once a grandma told her kids and grandkids to all come in blue shirts.   When the 9 adults and 13 grandchildren arrived she was amazed at all the different shades of blue.  It wasn’t quite what she had in mind.  If a color other than white or black is preferred, try to buy the shirts in a lot so that they all match.

4.  Relax.
Moms, we’re talking specifically to you here.    Your kids can feel stress.  And we can see it on everyone’s faces when they walk through the door.  This is supposed to be fun.  We’re trying to create a memory that will last a life time.  The better frame of mind everyone arrives in the better off we’ll all be. 5.  Have a purchase plan.
Believe it or not we’re trying to help you get every picture you need not more than you need.  We want you happy.  We want you to tell your friends how much you loved us.  Therefore, we want to help you get the pictures you want at a price that makes sense for your needs.  Come in with a list of needs for Grandma, your favorite sibling, the kids’ other step-parent or teacher, etc.  All of our pricing is online so you can help to prepare.

Sunday Hours
Effective Sunday, October 30, 2011 thru December 18, 2011 Portraits Today Studios will offer hours on Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00.

Holidays Closed
Portraits Today Studios will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

We will be open from 9:00 till 1:00 on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for you last minute stragglers.
