11-3 Texas Roadhouse, Olathe, Kansas – Portraits Today Studios will be photographing kids in their costumes at the Texas Roadhouse.  FREE 5x7s will be available to the little trick-or-treaters.  Texas Roadhouse will be doing a promotion as well which I believe is kids in costume eat free with accompanying parental meal.  (Check with them for the details.)

4-6 Chick-fil-A, Olathe, Kansas-  Chick-fil-A will be giving kids in costume a free kids meal with any accompanying parental meal and Portraits Today Studios will be taking pictures of the kids in costume and giving away a FREE 5×7 for each family. 

In each of the above cases a certificate good for one free 5×7 will be made available to all the kids we photograph.  You can bring that certificate in any time we are open over the next 60 days to our studios and you’ll receive a free 5×7.  No purchase necessary though extra copies will be made available to anyone that asks.  We just want you to know where we are and to keep us in mind for this holiday’s portrait season.  Tell your friends!

2-5 “Tweak the Treat” – Prairie Life Fitness in Olathe is allowing TCOY Wellness space to host a “Tweak the Treat” event wherein you can bring in your extra candy from Halloween to send over to our troops who have a sweet tooth.  Gift certificates from many local companies in and around Olathe will be there to say “thank you” for your support. 

November 13
5-9 Family Portrait Night at Chick-fil-A - You might want to hurry on this one.  With nearly no promotion I hear that there have been many reservations made, already.  We’ll be taking photos of customers who are there to eat and have made a reservation to get their photo taken.  Each family will receive a Free 5×7 that they can pick up from our portrait studios here in Olathe.  And you know we’ll make more copies and holiday cards available at our reasonable prices either online or in our studios.

November 13-15
2009 Kansas City “SPLASHDOWN”- Up in Gladstone, MO we’ve been asked to come in and give some quality service for this swim meet’s sports photography.  So if you have a little fish look for us up there.  And say “hello” because we’d love to meet you in person. 

November 26
Closed for Thanksgiving.  If you are having family/friends in town why not book now for your family portrait?  Last year Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving week were very busy.  So book early. 

December 24-25
Closing at 3:30 on Christmas Eve.  Closed Christmas Day.  May Peace be with you. 

Regarding our Current Portrait Specials be sure to check out that page.  Effective November 13 our $10.95 portrait special will only be available to those that make an additional purchase of a portrait sheet, portrait package or holiday cards.  Otherwise the package will $19.95 if there is no additional purchase.  (That’s still quite a deal!)

And don’t forget, until November 30th you can get 15% off your holiday cards by mentioning the special.

Effective November 8, 2009 thru January 2, 2010 Portraits Today Studios will be open from 12:00 until 4:00 each Sunday.  And of course, extended hours are available by appointment.

While I do not yet know the times I can tell you that it’s on again.  So mark your calendars.  And with Halloween falling on a Saturday this year you should have more time to come out and see us.  Plus you can eat really inexpensively and get a free, fun photo of your kids. 

Why do we give away a Free 5×7?  We just want you to know where we are.  That way when you are thinking about your holiday photos you will think of Portraits Today Studios!

Memorial Day is for picnics.  Grilling hot dogs and hamburgers.  Seeing parades.  It’s for spending time with families and building memories that last beyond our time here.  Memorial Day is for remembering.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day.  We’re open today and Saturday if you need us.  We’re closed Sunday & Monday so that we too can enjoy the weekend.  Talk to you on Tuesday!

Apparently there is a cost involved.  But well worth it from what I’m told.  The event is being held May 23rd & 24th.  If you go, let me know what you thought.

Just wanted to bring it to your attention.

There was a street festival atmosphere.  Plenty to do.  Plenty to eat.  Best Buy was giving away a Wii game system.  KLOVE radio was there.  And then the teachers all arrived in school buses (figures, right?) and the awards began.  Each Teacher of the Year was giving a plaque to signify their accomplishments.

After the awards were given the teachers got to mingle with their guests, families and students.  Then it was inside where there was plenty of free food to be had. More awards were given.  Check out what the #1 Teacher of the Year was awarded by our local Wal-Mart!  The picture tells the story.

Half Price Books, Best Buy, Green Lantern Car Wash, KC Action Inflatables, Bank Midwest and of course Portraits Today Studios all participated in the event. (Hope I didn’t forget anyone!)  And I think I speak for everyone when I say we were were happy to do it.

Congratulations to the teachers. You deserve it!

Hello Everyone!!

I just wanted to let you know that tonight is my HUGE twins club garage sale.  I know I will be missing the big KU gameL. But the sale is worth it this year.  I have seen all that is there, and there are way too many things for me to list.  Lots of cribs, bikes, swings, bouncey seats, clothes, baby bjorns, out side toys , the list goes on and on.  I just wanted to let you all know that it is open to everyone who wants to go tonight.  Basically it is open to the public.  Usually we only are allowed two guests, but due to the weather, we are opening the doors to whoever wants to come tonight.  We are doing a fundraiser for our convention next year, so there is a donation of $1 to get in.  Please tell all anyone you know who might be interested in coming.  We are filled to the gills on everything under the sun.

The sale is located on 119^th and State Line Rd.   It is in the First Church of the Nazarene on the corner.  You can’t miss it.     The hours for tonight are 7pm-10pm, and tomorrow from 8a-1p.
