Portraits Today Studios is happy to tell you that we are going to be adding more events to our photographic line-up for 2012. Our employees want it. And, judging by the survey responses, you want it.

Baby Chicks & Bunny Pictures will be returning for the third straight year here at PTS. The chicks usually hatch in the beginning of March. Easter comes early this year on April 8. Based on previous years, you are going to want to book your appointments early to be sure you get a slot. It gets crazy in here and is a great deal of fun. Slots fill quickly. But don’t book before the first weekend of March because we want to make sure the baby chicks are here!

Portraits in the Park will be returning in April/May and again in September/October.

Princess & Fairies Portraits will be returning in May. Details and weekend to follow.

Firefighter Days will be returning in May. Expect a fun little addition here!

What We Are Still Working On
Rock ‘n’ Roll Portraits, Skateboarding action shots at the local skate park and a few more exciting concepts.

Portraits Today Studios is a locally owned and operated portrait studio here in Olathe, Kansas. And we like to think of ourselves as your neighborhood portrait studio. We’ve had a fun couple of weeks, like most of you, what with the 4th of July and all. We thought we would bring you some of the highlights from the last few days…

We do quite a few business head shots for professionals of all kinds here at PTS. Realtors use our services quite a bit for this purpose as do people in the corporate world and those that need a professional head shot for web purposes.

It should be obvious that we would do a lot of family photography here, too. After all, Olathe and Kansas City are completely family friendly, right?

And oh boy, do we photograph kids. Kids of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Many are happy to see us. Others, well, not so much. But the joy they bring to our faces….and apparently to your faces, too. Children’s photography is what keeps us going, quite frankly. It keeps us young…and that’s never a bad thing.

Baby photography. It’s competitive. It’s exhausting. And it’s fun! You have many choices in Kansas City for baby photography. There are the more expensive boutique photographers. And then you have the national chains like Kiddie Kandids and JC Penny and whomever. We’d love for your to give us a chance. You should check out our Baby’s First Year Photo Club.

Chris loves sports photography! That’s how he got his start. And he worked his way up to getting the chance to photograph the Washington Freedom women’s soccer team when Mia Hamm and Pretinia were on the squad. It was great fun! If your child participates in sports or dance won’t you recommend us to their coach or league?

And of course we love to have special events here at Portraits Today Studios. Currently, we have Dog Days of Summer going on where we are featuring our pet photography at a discounted rate and having a fun contest. Through out the year we also hold Portraits in the Park, Princess & Fairies Portraits, Firefighter Portraits and Bedtime Stories With Santa. We’re always open for a new idea, too!

We do a lot of head shots and business photography for real estate agents, sales people, salon owners and the like. And come to think about it, we do numerous professional head shot portraits for people that need 8x10s for their modeling and acting auditions.

While we can customize any package to fit your needs, our most popular business photography package is a CD with 3 images written in large and web sized files. You can change your wardrobe a time or two if need be, as well. Touch-ups are included so that you look your best. A full copyright release comes with the CD so you can use without hassle for your business cards and other advertising needs. All for $69.95!

Are you a real estate agent broker or some other large grouping of professionals? We can come to your office, set up and save your fellow co-workers a trip to our studios. And with a minimum number, we can even offer group pricing.

Skooter Trash Photo Shoot

A rock band by the name of Skooter Trash came in for a photo shoot on Sunday. They hail from Gardner, Kansas and play all over the KC area. If you see them while your out let me know how they sound. I’m gonna have to go check’em out.

I’d like to say these guys were fun to work with. I think I’ll check them out the next time they play The Job Site since it’s close to home.

Adult Portraits For Fun & Business

Sure. Portraits Today Studios takes far more portraits of babies, children and families than we do adult portraits. But make no mistake. We do plenty of portraits for adults. Of course, we do a lot of photography for real estate agents, insurance agents and the like. But we also have a few folks we do product photography for and portrait sessions just for the fun of it. Or to turn a man’s head.

Photography for Real Estate Agents

Photography for real estate agents is a growing business that we are happy to serve. We understand the needs most real estate agents have and their time/budget constraints. After all, no sale means no commission which means no new shoes for Johnny. Portraits Today Studios is here to help you to look good. We can help with your marketing photos. We can help with your real estate photography. We can help in ways you may not have dreamed of.

The best part of photography is capturing a moment in time that represents who that person is. We can do that with your portraits for your business cards, websites and social media sites. You will probably need more than one shot for all of those needs. PTS will take about a dozen shots and burn your favorite 3-4 shots (with minor touch-ups included!) onto a cd that has a copyright release.

Why is the copyright release important? Because you will need it for your advertising on business cards, yard signs and heck, even on the sides of buses.

Our real estate head shot fees for the 3-4 photos with copyright release on a cd start at $69.95. For 99.9% of real estate agents that will be enough to last you for a while. However, if you have some customized ideas that will take us out of the studios or you are wanting to get several more “candid” style shots while you are in we can do that to and we’ll be more than fair on the additional pricing.

When you ask us to go out to the houses we’ll discuss that on a per house basis. It’s more affordable than you may think. And you can ask us about our Share the Risk pricing. If you don’t sell, we don’t get paid either. But we know our real estate photography will make people stop and notice when they are going through the internet listings that are out there.
