Children’s Photography Can Be Like Herding Cats

I love children’s photography because of the endless spontaneity of the subjects.  Take the photograph seen here.  Looks pretty darned good doesn’t it?  What?  Some of you say it’s not perfect?  Have YOU ever tried to get six kids to sit still, look into the camera and pay attention to the photographer while three sets of parents are jumping up and down, dancing, coaxing “Smile, Billy!” and what not?  You should see the out-takes of this session!
